Lesson 1 : Getting – Started+ Listen and read

I. Objectives :
By the end of the lesson Sts will be able to know more about the environment problems and the sollutions
Sts will read the text and answer the questions
II. Language contents :
1.Vocabulary: Deforestation, dynamite, spray, pesticide, dump , provide, diappointed ,garbage, spoit, polluted, rock, sand, shore, achieve,
2. Grammar : Simple tenses, present perfect
III. Preparations : Pictures, handout, cassette, mini-boards

1. Warm up : (5)
Ask Sts to look at the pictures/ p. 47 and match each problem given to each picture
Get feedback – give answer keys






2. Presentation: (15)
Introduce the lesson
Ask Sts :
+ Where are they?
+ What are they going to do?
Use the pictures to pressent vocabulary
Give some more vocabulary through examples examples in the text

Call some sts to read the text aloud

Ask Sts to read again the passasge then answer the question in groups

I. Objectives :
By the end of the lesson Sts will be able to know how to persuade somebody to do something to protect the environment
Sts will try to persuade partner to protect the environment, then they will listen to the report on how our oceans are polluted and complete the notes
II.Language contents :
1. Vocabulary: Trash, garbage bin, prevent, persuade, dissolve, reduce, exhaust fume, wrap, protect, spill.
