3.1. Warm – up:
-T: Has Ss to work in pairs to answer the question “What would you do in these situations which require first-aid?”

3.2. Pre – reading:
- T: Presents the dialogue between Lan and a nurse then gives some new words.
- Ss: Listen to the teacher.
-T: Asks Ss to listen and repeat then copy.
- Ss: Listen and repeat then copy.

-T: Gives some questions, asks Ss to study before listening to the tape.



3.3. While – reading:
T: Has Ss listen to the tape then work in pairs to practice the dialogue.

*Answer guiding questions:
a) A student is hurt. She fell off her bike and hit her head a bad cut on her head it`s bleeding quite badly.
b) Try to stop the bleeding. Use a tower or a handkerchief to cover the wound. Then put pressure on it. Hold it tight and she must not fall asleep.

4.Consolidation. (2’)

a)What do you do if someone has a burn?
-I will use clean cold water to cool the burn.
b)What do you do if someone has a bad cut?
-I will use sterile dressing to cover the wound…
