Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to
Know more about the leisure activities the British people often do in their spare time
Improve the reading skills such as scanning for specific information and guessing the meaning in context
Teaching aids: textbook, poster and papers.

Give Ss 1 sentences and ask Ss to rewrite the sentences using cleft sentence with 3 different focus on subject, object and adverb

Game : Whispering
reading books, watching TV and going shopping
listening to music, singing and watching sports
spending time outdoors, playing a musical instrument
meeting friends and swimming .
Rule : the 4 students at the back of the class of 2 teams will whisper these activities for the person in front of them, then the 4 students sitting in the first table of 2 teams will write the answers on the board
T checks and corrects the mistakes.
Lead in:
Ask Ss to look at the activities here and ask “ what do you often do in your free time?”
Ask Ss to make a guess about the activities the British people often do in their free time

Call 4 Ss to go to the board and write down their answers on the board. While waiting for them, T calls another Ss form different groups to answer these 4 questions orally
Check the answer with the whole class and correct Ss’ mistakes.
