I. Giving expectation

a.Model verb : should and ought to
( Negative : shouldn’t
( Ought to seldom occurs in question or negative statements.
Eg1 The mailman should be here soon.
Eg2 They ought to arrive at any moment.

b.Other verbs:
Expect + to V/ Clause (expectation will probable happen in reality)
Eg1 I expect to receive a letter from my parents soon

Hope + to V/Clause (expectation about feeling)
Eg2 I hope he has got some good news.

Look forward to +V-ing (expecting something)
Eg3 I look forward to meeting you.


II.Giving promising :

Promise : promise to SO, you can do or can’t do.
Eg1 I promise I will call you

Swear : promise to One’s spirit, strong and serious promise.
Eg1 She agrees to get married with him she swears
