Period 1: Revision – Introduction To The Course Ngày:23.8

I/ Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to review some main points in English 7 and get how to learn English in the eight form .

Warm-up:
Teacher and students get acquainted with each other by asking questions.
- Teacher has students play some games.
2. Presentation:
Teacher give some requirement of learning to students/syllabus.
Teacher encourages students to state their ideas to teacher.
Teacher guides students how to learn at school and at home.
3. Homework:
Prepare textbooks, Exercise book and notebooks.
Prepare Unit 1: Getting started- Listen and Read.



























Period 2: Unit 1: MY FRIENDS Ngày: 23.8
GETTING STARTED – LISTEN AND READ
I/ Objectives: By the end of the lesson , students will be able to know more about Hoa- Lan- Nien and review simple present and simple past.
II/ Language contents:
1. Vocabulary: (n) smile, a next-door, neighbor
(v) seem, look like, smile
2. Grammar: - What does/do…look like ?
- (not) adjective + enough + to-infinitive
- What + Noun!
- What does/do…look like ?
- (not) adjective + enough + to-infinitive
- What + Noun!
III/ Method: Pairwork, groupwork, remember
IV/ Teaching aids: Textbooks, pictures, cassette.
V/ Steps of teaching:
Warm-up:
Ask students to look at four pictures on page 10 and talk about the activitives they want to do after school or in their free time.
Give them some questions:
+ What are they students do ?
+ What time of the day do you think it is ?
+ Do you like soccer/ reading books…?
+ Whom do you play with ?
Presentation:
Teach vovabulary after leading to the dialogue.
Students listen to the tape and repeat.
Make some structures clearer.
Practice:
Students work in pairs to practise the dialogue.
Some pairs are act to asked out.
Pairwork: ask and answer the question in exercisè on page 11.
Call some students to ask and answer the questions.
Correct their mistakes and pronunciation.
Ask them to work in close pairs.
Production:
Ask students to write a paragragh about Hoa and Lan.
Give students some cues and ask them to use the simple present or simple past tense to write in group of three.
Choose some answers and correct them in fron of the class.
Homework:
Learn vocablary and structures by heart.
Prepare : Speak/ listen.
Do the exercises 1a, 1b on their notebooks.






Period 3: UNIT 1 : MY FRIENDS Ngày: 26.8
SPEAK-LISTEN
I/ Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to discribe someone and complete the dialogue by listening.
II/ Language contents:
1. Vocabulary: (a) slim, straight, curly, bald, blond, fair
2. Grammar: - S + have/ has + adj+ noun
- S + be + adj
III/ Method: Brainstorming, pairwork, guessing game.
IV/ Teaching aids: Textbooks, pictures, sub-boards.
V/ Steps of teaching:
Brainstorming: ask students to think of the adjectives used to discibe body
build and hair.

Presentation:
Show students a picture of Mary and ask them to discribe her hair, her body build.
Supply some new words and get them to repeat.
Practice: Prepare 6 cards so that students can drill easily.
+ he/tall/thin + long/black. + she/short/slim. + curly/ long + he/short/fat. + straight/brown
Students use word cue to make sentences describing people.
Show the posterof six people.
Call on a student to discribe aone person, the other has to guess who he/she is.
Go on until six people on the poster are discribed .
If there’s time, ask students to discribe a famous person or one of their classmate and their friends have to guess.
Pre-listening:
Ask students to do exercise < Listen a,b,c,
