Eating well
Eating well is one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy. Many people are under the impression that eating healthy just means eating low fat foods or drinking a diet soda instead of a regular one. This is not the case. Eating well isn`t just watching the calories; a number of different aspects must be incorporated.
The basis for eating well begins with eating the right food, natural food, in other words, food that hasn`t been processed. Most of the foods and snacks at your local grocery store are full of unnatural substances (usually they are the words on the ingredients label you can`t pronounce) such as partially hydrogenated oils and monosodium glutamate. These substances can cause problems because the human body doesn`t know how to digest them properly. Some substances have been known to be harmful over a period of time. Products that contain aspartame, such as sugar-free chewing gum and soda, even come with a warning label.
Now you might ask why they would put all that bad stuff in food. The answer is simple, because it tastes good, and taste sells. It is pretty much a fact, healthy food can`t compare to the taste of the junk, but it`s a whole lot better for you. Eating natural is not just better for your physical body; it can also have a profound affect on the mind and emotions. People who eat healthy often feel much better overall than when they were eating unhealthy.
Just because someone eats natural food doesn`t mean they are eating healthy. If I eat five pounds of all natural potatoes with butter as my dinner I am not necessarily eating well. Another vital factor of eating well is having a balanced diet. Eating a fair share of bread and rice, fruit, vegetables, dairy and meat is essential. If one food group is focused on more than another an imbalance occurs, which can upset the process of a healthy diet.
Eating well is not limited to simply having a well balanced diet of natural food, but it also includes the frequency at which you eat. It is important to keep your body fed and fueled throughout the day. Experts recommend eating a small meal every two hours or so.
Eating well is a difficult thing to do. There are many aspects encompassed. However many believe the benefits outweigh the challenges. A healthy intake of food is a key factor to living ahealthy life.
noncé: Is your fridge stocked of fresh fruits, vegetables and lean meats or is it full-filled, overly salted process convenience foods and abandoned take out containers ? We`ve all heard the old adage `You are what you eat`!Do you agree with it? Do you think healthy eating is the key to wellbeing? If we truly are what we eat, what do your eating habits say about you ? Obesity is a leading preventable cause of death and authorities view it as one of the most serious public health of 21st century. We can wonder what type of food allow us to be healthy? First of all, we need to explain more precisely the meaning of the old adage `you are what you eat`. Then, we`re going to show that healthy eating is the key to wellbeing. My fridge is stocked full of fresh fruits, vegetables and lean meats. To my mind, the healthier your diet, the healthier your body. I mean, I prefer to have a well-balanced meal because it`s an important part of a healthy lifestyle. The idiom `You are what you eat` or `Der mensch ist, was er ibt` originated with Ludwig A.Feuerbach, a student of the popular philosopher Hegel. The notion of this old adage explain us the quality of that you eat define who you are. But, it means also what you eat determines how healthy of a person you are. So to be fit and healthy you need to eat good food. It was first used in 1960`s (during the hippie era). It originally referred to eating wholefood. Healthy eating is it the key to wellbeing? Actually, that`s true but be aware healthy eating is not about a strict nutrition, staying unreaslistically thin and depriving yourself of the foods you love. It`s rather about feeling great, having more energy, keeping yourself as healthy as possible. In addition, it`s also to choose the types of foods that improve your health and to avoid foods raise your risk for such illness as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. To conclude, i consider myself as healthy eater because i love eating fruits and vegetables too much. But in my opinion, if we want to be healthy it`s an absolutely necessity to do sport like yoga, jogging ... in order to feel good about oneself.
