I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson sts will be able to:
- Know the receipe and the instructions how to cook the dish.
- Give a menu for them
- Improve 4 skills
II. Matterials: Textbook, lesson plan, chalk, board, posters, pictures....

A. Warm up: (4’)
* Brainstorming
- T asks sts to write the names of foods or drink which they know on the board.
* Chatting:
- T asks sts:
? Can you cook? Are you good at cooking?
? Do you often cook meals?
? What do you think this work? Do you like it?
B. Pre – reading: (20-22’)

* Checking: Jumbelwords

- T gives a poster which have 6 words and asks sts to rewrite the words
- T checks and gives correct answers



- T asks sts to give their answers:




C. While- reading
* Set the scence.
(Use the pictures in the text book to set the scence)
? Who are they in the picture?
? Do you remember what did they buy yesterday?
? What are they doing now?

- Hangs a poster with 8 statements on the board.
- Have Ss read them carefully and predict their orders.
- Feed back their prediction.


- T asks sts to read and check their prediction.
- Have Ss read the text silently to correct their orders.
- Feed back Ss` answers.
- Let Ss read the statements in correct orders again.

- T gives 3 questions and asks sts to answer


- Have Ss read the text again to find down the answers for the question:
- Gets Ss work in pairs. Then asks ststo go to the board and write the menu ( the things they ate for dinner)
- Give feedback.




- Get Ss to work in pairs. In pairs, they discuss and complete the instructions by adding missing words.
“ Now, you look at the part b, and do the following: this is the recipe Hoa’s aunt used. You look at the passage again and add the missing verbs to complete the instruction”
- Feed back Ss` answers. ( one by one go to the board and write the missing words.)



- Hang 7 pictures (page 117) on the board.
T asks sts:
? How many pictures are there?
- 7 pictures.
? Who is the woman in the picture?
- Hoa` s aunt.
? What is she doing?
- She is preparing for dinner.
? What is she doing in the picture C?
- Slicing the beef.
- Have Ss match the instructions to the pictures.
- Feed back Ss` answers.


D. Post- reading
T asks sts work in groups to write things which they eat or drank for breakfast or lunch/ dinner
Then T asks sts speak about things which they eat or drank
