I- Read the passage and answer the questions: (2. pts)
The family is having a party when the phone rings. Dr Long answers it. He listens carefully for a moment, and then says “I’ll come right away.”
“Do you have to go out?” his wife asks, “If it is an urgent case, I have to go.” Dr Long answers “I should be late, please don’t wait up for me.” Dr Long drives into the night. “If I don’t hurry,” he thinks, “I might be too late”. The thought makes him drive faster. After driving for an hour, he arrives at a house. All the lights are on. “If all the family is up,” the doctor thinks, “the situation must be serious.” A woman opens the front door immediately. “Thank God, you’ve come, doctor,” she cries. “It’s my daughter”. A sleepy child of about six appeared in a nightdress. “I told her,” her mother said, “Go to bed or I`ll fetch the doctor.” “See,” She shouts at the child. “I’ve done it. Here’s the doctor!”
