The country is (1)___________ beautiful than a town and pleasant to live in. Many people think so, and go to the country for the summer holidays though they cannot live there all the year round. Some have a cottage built in a village (2)____________ that they can go there whenever they have time.
English villagers are not all alike, but (3)____________ some ways they are not very different from each other. Almost every village has a church, the round or square tower (4)_____________ can be seen for many miles around. Surrounding the church is the churchyard, (5)____________ people are buried.

When I was asked to visit and write about the Great Barrier Reef, I was thrilled. I had heard reports of damage done by tourism and other industries, but felt that the Reef would still be a wonderful place to see. (0)____________H_______________.

I wasn’t sure how best to explore such a giant place, so after I had landed, I made enquiries and was told the best way to see the Reef is to take a dive cruise. I booked a place on a three-day cruise, and, despite warnings about the state of some of these boats, the boat I was on was comfortable and clean. (2)______________________________. I was entitled to eight dives plus use of wet suit, flippers and other equipment, three meals a day and two nights’ accommodation.
Although I have been diving before, I am not an experienced diver. (3)_________________________________. I was nervous to begin with, but soon felt completely safe.
