Affirmative: S + V_ed (regular verbs)
S + past form (2nd column) , Irregular verbs.
Negative : S + didn’t + bare infinitive.
Question : Did + S + bare infinitive ?
Some adverbs follow: yesterday ; last ; a go ; before . . .
More / fewer /less + Noun (+than)
Yes ,No questions:
Tobe: Were + S (you , we , they) +?
Was + S ( he, she, it) +?
Ex: Were you late for school yesterday?
Was she tired last night?
Auxiliary verbs: Did + S + bare infinitive?
Ex: Did you go to the cinema last night?
Wh – questions.
Tobe: Question words + was /were + S ?
Where were you yesterday morning?
Auxiliary verbs: Question woerds + did + S + bare infinitive?
Why did you do that?
Why and because.
Question: Why + tobe + S …?
To be: ( am / is /are / were /was)
Answer: ( S + V) + Beacause + S + V.
