I-The present simple tense(Thì hiện tại đơn)
1- Với động từ “tobe”(am / is/ are)
Khẳng định: S + tobe +……
Example: I am a student / I am tall.
She is a student / She is tall.
They are students / They are tall.
Phủ định: S + tobe + not……
Example: I am a student / I am tall.
She is a student / She is tall.
They are students / They are tall.
Nghi vấn: Tobe + S +……? Yes, S + tobe / No, S + tobe + not
Example: Are you a student? Yes, I am / No, I am not
Are you tall? Yes, I am / No, I am not
Is she a student? Yes, she is / No, she isn’t
Is she is tall? Yes, she is / No, she isn’t
Are they students? Yes, they are / No, they aren’t
Are they tall? Yes, they are / No, they aren’t
Đối với các từ để hỏi :WH (What, Which,Who, Where, When, How old, How much,How many……)
WH + tobe + S + ……..?
Example: Where are they? – They are in their class.
Where is she? - She is in the school yard.
2- Với động từthường (V):
Khẳng định S(số nhiều) + V(nguyên mẫu)
S(số ít) + V(thêm S/ES )
Example: I go to school everyday.
They go to school everyday.
She goes to school.
She plays volleyball.
Phủ định: S(số nhiều) + do not + V(nguyên mẫu) do not = don’t
S(số ít) + does not + V(nguyên mẫu) does not = doesn’t
Example: I don’t go to school everyday.
They don’t go to school everyday.
She doesn’t go to school.
She doesn’t play volleyball.
Nghi vấn: Do + S + V (nguyên mẫu)+ ……? Yes, S + do / No, S + don’t
Does + S + V(nguyên mẫu)+ …..?Yes, S+does / No, S+doesn’t
Example: Do they go to school everyday? Yes, they do / No, they don’t.
Does she go to school? Yes, she does / No, she doesn’t
Does she play volleyball? Yes, she does / No, she doesn’t
Đối với các từ để hỏi :WH (What, Which,Who, Where, When, How old, How much,How many……)
WH + do + S(số nhiều) + V (nguyên mẫu)+…….?
WH + does + S(số ít) + V (nguyên mẫu)+………?
Example: Where do they go everyday? – They go to school.
Where does she go? - She goes to school.
When does she play volleyball? - She plays volleyball after school
Cách dùng: Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tả sự thực, hiện tượng tự nhiên, thói quen hằng ngày
Thường đi kèm với các trạng từ: every day, every week, every month, every morning,……, always, usually, often, sometimes, never.
II- Preposition(Giới từ)
ON: ngày (on 5th, on 2rd…) ,ngày tháng (on June 6th, May 1st…) , ngày tháng năm (on 3rd March,2008...)
IN: buổi (in the morning, in the afternoon..), tháng (in July, in May..),mùa (in the summer, in the spring..)
nơi ở (in the country, in the city…)
AT: giờ (at seven o’clock, at six forty-five…), mùa lễ (at Christmas, at Easter…)
* tobe good at + môn học: giỏi môn…(I am good at Math, She is good at English)
BY: phương tiện (by bike, by bus…)
III- Adverbs of frequency: (trạng từ chỉ mức độ thường xuyên)
Always, usually, often, sometimes, never, every day thường có vị trí là:
đứng trước “V” (I often play the guitar)
đứng sau “tobe” (I am never late forr school)
