II/ GRAMMAR :
1/ Passive Form ( thể bị động )
S + Be + Past Participle ( V3/ Ved )
Ex ; Kobe was damaged seriously by a huge earthquake in 1995.
( Cách đổi từ câu chủ động về câu bị động )
2/ Relative Clause (Mệnh đề quan hệ )
Bắt đầu bằng : - relative pronouns : who, whom, which ( that ) , Whose
relative adverbs : when, where, why, how…
( lưu ý mệnh đề quan hệ xác định va không xác định )
3/ Adverb clause of concessions : Bắt dầu bằng ; though, allthough, even though
-Ex: Although he was very tired , he kept on working.
-They like the festivals in Viet Nam very much though they dot understand them.
4/ Adverb clause of result: so, so that
-ex : It is raining very hard so she can not go to the beach.
5/ Adverb clause of reason or cause : because/ since/ as
Ex : Nga went to school late because ( since/ as )she stayed up late watching TV.
6/ Conditional sentences :
Type 1 : (điều kiện có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai )
Ex : If we go on wasting water, there will be shortage of fresh water to use in the future.
IF- Clause MAIN – CLAUSE
V( present) V( Future/ Present )
Type 2: ( giả thiết trái ngược với hiện tại hoặc tương lai )
Ex : If I had five millions dollars, I would take a trip space.
IF_ CLAUSE MAIN- CLAUSE
V( Past/ were ) V( would, could, should, might, had to …) + V- inf
* Notes : mệnh đề if có thể đứng trước hoặc sau mệnh đề chính .

8/ Phralsal verbs : turn on, turn off, turn up, turn down, look after, look for, go on come on …
9/ Suggestions :
*Why don’t we + V- inf : Why don’ we turn up the gas fire.
*I think we should + V-inf : - I think we should go to school by bike.
*How about/ What about + V-ing ;
- How about using banana leaves instead of plastic bags.
* suggest + V-ing : I suggest turning off the faucet.
* Suggest + that – clause : My father suggests that we should have a day for mom.
