HOW IS NATIONAL PARK ?
A national park is a park in use for conservation purposes. Often it is a reserve of natural, semi-natural, or developed land that a sovereign state declares or owns. Although individual nations designate their own national parks differently, there is a common idea: the conservation of `wild nature` for posterity and as a symbol of national pride.
In Viet Nam and on the world, there are many national park.

I - LOCATION
Con Dao National Park is
a protected area located
north of Con Dao District,
Ba Ria-Vung Tau
province.The scope of this
national park includes part
of the area and the islands
adjacent sea area.
II - BIODIVERSITY
Flora and fauna characteristic of Con Dao National Park is the type of marine life, which is the most impressive coral and sea turtles.
Con Dao National Park has botanical ingredients are relatively rich and variety with approximately 882 species of vascular plants, including 371 species of woody, 30 species of orchids, 103 species of vines, 202 species of herbs, etc. There are 44 species of plants are first found here by scientists, 11 species of plants are named Con Dao. Some species are listed as rare as Chukrasia (Chukrasia tabularis), gloves anchor (Manikara hexandra), etc.

Con Dao National Park has 144 species of wild animals, including 28 species of Mammalia, 69 species of birds, 39 species of reptiles, 8 species of amphibians. Some endemic animals in Con Dao as: Callosciunis finlaysonii, Ratufa condorensis bicolor, Pachycephala cinerea , Sula leucogaster ... Con Dao National Park has vertebrate terrestrial unique nature of the offshore islands with many endemic species.

Marine ecosystems of Con Dao as diverse and rich with 1,321 species of marine life, including mangrove plants has 23 species, 127 species of seaweed, 7 species of seaweed,157 species of plant plankton, 115 species of planktonic, 219 species of coral, 5 species of marine mammal and reptile ,… There are 37 species are listed in the Vietnam red book. Many species of high economic value such as fisheries, seaweed. Rare marine mammals such as the blue whale (Neophon phocaenoides), dugongs (Dugon dugong ), ... Special, Con Dao is also breeding grounds of some sea turtles.
