POSITIVES (EQUALITY)

POSITIVES

Affirmative Form

AS + ADJECTIVE/ ADVERB + AS
The train is not as fast as the plane
The train is not so fast as the plane
We can’t draw as well as an artist
We can’t draw so well as an artist
Ex: The train isn’t as/so fast as the plane
We can’t draw as/so well as an artist
Negative Form

NOT + AS/ SO + ADJECTIVE/ ADVERB + AS
POSITIVES
Practice Rewrite the sentences, using AS…AS or NOT AS/ SO…AS
I weigh 50 kilos. My sister weighs 50 kilos as well. (heavy)
This book is exciting. That book is not exciting. (exciting)
My father forgets things. My mother forgets things as well. (forgetful)
