NAMES
In c 121 it was called Londinium
The name of the city may derive from the river Thames.

In 1889, the name London was applied
EVENTS
Founded by Romans in A.D 43
At 11th century London was the largest and most prosperous city in England.
Many diseases came off from 13th to 14th century.

Great Fire of London destroyed many parts of the city in 1666
Became the world’s largest city from 1831 to 1925
