DOUBLE COMPARISON
1.Để diễn tả sự thay đổi theo thời gian của sự kiện, chúng ta dùng so sánh kép.
* So sánh tăng dần .
- Tính từ, trạng từ ngắn: S + to be / V+ adj / adv – er and adj / adv – er : càng ngày càng
- Tính từ, trạng từ dài : S + to be / V+ more and more adj / adv : càng ngày càng
Eg: The exercises get more and more difficult.
Lan is fatter and fatter
* So sánh giảm dần
S + to be / V + less and less + adj / adv : càng ngày càng ít
Eg: The weather is less and less cold
2. Để diễn tả mối tương quan nguyên nhân - hậu quả của sự biến đổi của hai sự kiện chúng ta dùng.
* * So sánh tăng dần .
- Tính từ, trạng từ ngắn: (The + adj / adv- er + S + to be / V, …)2 : càng…càng
- Tính từ, trạng từ dài : ( The more + adj / adv + S + to be / V, …)2: càng…càng
Eg: The harder he studies, the better he gets

3. So sánh của danh từ.
(The more + noun + S + V,…)2
Eg: The more books you read, the more knowledge you can get.
4. So sánh của động từ.
