A). Language focus: 1. A few A little:
a. A few: (mộtvài, mộtsố) dùngtrướcdanhtừđếmđượcsốnhiều.
Eg: - He wants to ask us a few questions.
- We’re having a few people for lunch.
b. A little: (mộtchút, mộtít) dùngtrướcdanhtừkhôngđếmđược.
Eg: - Add a little salt in the lemon juice.
I need a little help to move this books.
2. Few / Little:
a. Few:dùngvớidanhtừsốnhiềucónghĩalà “ít, hiếm”.
Eg: - He has few friends. (Anh ấycóítbạnbè).
Few people live to be 100.
b. Little:dùngvớicácdanhtừkhôngđếmđượccónghĩalà “chẳngbaonhiêu, rấtít, khôngcóđủ”.
Eg: - I have very little time for reading.
There is little rain this year.

+ few / A little Few / Little:
- A little / A few: xácđịnhrõrànghơncónghĩalà “mộtít, mộtvài, mộtsố: nhưngvừđủ”.

II. More, fewer, less:
1. More(nhiềuhơn, thêmvào): làhìnhthức so sánhhơncủa Many/much. Thườngdùngtrướcdanhtừsốnhiều hay danhtừkhôngđếmđược.
Eg: - Would you like some more coffee?
- I can’t aford to buy this book. I need more money.
- American students have morevacationsthan Vietnamese students.
=> Form: S + V + more + N.
S + V + more + N + than + S2.
2. Fewer: (íthơn) làhìnhthức so sánhhơncủa Few. Dùngvớidanhtừsốnhiềuvàđộngtừsốnhiều.
Eg: - February has fewer days than March.
Vietnamese students have fewer vacations than American students .
=> Form: S + V + fewer + N + than + S2.
3. Less: (íthơn, nhỏhơn) làhìnhthức so sánhhơncủaLittle. Dùngvớinhữngdanhtừkhôngđếmđược.
Eg: - I have less time than you do.
- He earns less money than his brother.

=> Form: S + V + less + N + than + S2
