I. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to write a letter about a future plan.
II.Language contents:
1. Struture: The near future tense
2.Vocabulary: (v): raise funds, register, recycle.
(n): recycling progame, natural resources, side walk, lake bank. III. Techniques: -chatting, questions and answers,gaps filling pairwork, groupwork.
IV. Teaching aids: - Lesson plan - subboard
V. Teaching procedure:
Teacher’s and sts’ activities
I. Warm up: (5’)
To motivate Ss before starting the new lesson
- T has Ss look at the pictures and answer some questions
-Student answer before the class.
-T gives feedback
-T introduces the new lesson: To know more about Y & Y , today we come to unit 6 - write
II. Pre - Writing : (17’)
To get Ss to prepare for writing
a. Preteach :
- Pre- teach new words.
-T explains the new words by using pictures, explaination and translation or giving example
- Ss say the meaning
-T models reading three times.
-Ss repeat chorally first, then individually.
-T puts the words on the board.
-T checks meaning and pronunciation.
-T asks Ss to copy down
-T asks Ss to read the notice, then answer the questions:
-Ss work in pairs to aks & answer the questions.
T has Ss read the notice again and complete nga ‘s letter about Y & Y plan by filling the missing information in the blanks.
Ss work in groups.
Ss answer before the class.
T listens & corects
* Sts read the letter before the class.
- T has Ss remind the form of a letter
*How many parts?
*What do you write in the heading?
in the opening?
in the body?
in the closing?
III. While - writing : (15’)
To help Ss improve the writing skill
T introduces The Y & Y Green Group.
Ss look at the picture.
-Setting the dialogue: Hoa talks to her aunt about The Y & Y Green Group, and about the activities she is going to do.
-Having students read the dialogue silently.
-Giving instructions (Hoa writes a letter to her parents on posters) by using the details from the dialogue.
-T has Ss use the Outline
-Ss work in groups.
- Asking students write their letters on the board.
- Error corrections if necessary.
IV. Post - writing : (8’)
To help Ss eluavate their writing
* Sts read the letter before the class.
* Sts pair compare: correct each other mistakes in other groups.
* T gives the correction.
