1, The simple present tense
Use: /From:
+ I, We, They, You + V.Example: I go to school by bike
+ He, She, It’s +Vs/es. He goes to school by bike.
- Do/ Does + S + V.inf? (Yes/ No)
Example:
- Does she watch TV?
- Yes, she does
- No, she doesn’t
- I, We, They, You + don’t + V
- He, She, It + doesn’t + V
( We use: today, every( day, afternoon…), Abverbs of frequency)
2, The present progressive tense:
- Use/ Form:
- I- am
- He, She, It – is +V-ing
- They , We, You – are
- S + am/is/ are + not + V-ing.
- Am/is/are + not (Ving) ?
- Yes, S+ am, is, are
- No, S + am/is/are + not .
* Example:
- He is playing football (soccer) now.
- He is not (isn’t) playing soccer now.
- Is he playing soccer now?
- Yes, he is
- No, he isn’t
