Tet holiday or Lunar New Year is Vietnamese or some Eastern countries ‘s new year
We celebrate Tet between the end of January and the begin of February
Tet is one of the most important traditions in Viet Nam
This year, the label animal is the monkey.

Our activities
At 12th o`clock sharp of 12th Lunar month, the new year actually replace the old one, everybody wished out to the street with happy new year to each other
We visit temple, pagoda or church to wish for luck
We visit our relatives, eat sticky rice cake and pray for a new lucky year


Traditional food
The traditional food we prepare for Tet is sticky rice cake or Chung cake
Chung cake has a wonderful meaning. The cake with green leaves means the earth and the animals which is pork inside.
Important plants
In the north of Vietnam, the most popular flowers is peach blomssom.
Different than the North, in the south with tropical climate, we use apricot blossom to decorate our house
Lucky money
To every child, receiving lucky money is the most interesting thing
We give the children the money warpped in red envelope to hope them will more healthy and succesfull in their career
Another new year is coming, we hope you with the best luck all year around
