1. Definitions
Acid rain is rain phenomenon caused by a gas in
water to formacid
rain different. In nature, the rain is
mainly because of
the acidrain has
dissolved CO2
(from the breath of
animals and have a little Cl-(from seawater) and pH below 5.
2. Causes
The cause of acid rain phenomenon is the growing power of sulfur and nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere by human activities cause. The power plants using fossil fuels for power generation has also released into the atmosphere large amounts of NOx, SO2 and by the transport active
SO2 can also be emitted from volcanic activity. When active volcanoes usually emit H2S and SO2 atmosphere
3. The generation of acid rain
4. Impacts
Acid rain affected directly or indirectly to the lakes and the aquatic environment through the pH
The leaves fall off and the process of photosynthesis is affected seriously
The effects of acid rain on plants and soil
Affect the atmosphere
The acid fog affects the ability to spread sunlight.
Affect the structures and materials
The acid rain falling buildings and the statue will corrode them. damage the fabric, books and valuable antiques ..
Effects on people
Acid rain can affect the nervous system and cause neurological disease in humans
The direct effects of pollution due to the acid gases including respiratory diseases such as asthma, whooping cough and other symptoms such as headaches, sore eyes, sore throat ...
5. Solutions
By all means reduce the energy consumption of petroleum and coal, trying to apply nuclear energy, solar energy, wind water energy and wind to reduce the amount of NO2, SO2, CO2 emissions into the air
THE END
