- to describe actions happening at the time of the speaking .
- The adverb used: now, at the moment, at this time, right now, ...
2 / Form ( Forms ):
a / Affirmative:
Ex : The students of class AVSC 017 are learning
English now .
S + be + V_ing ...
He is reading a book at the moment.
b / Negative:
Ex : The students of class AVSC 017 are not learning English now .
He is not reading a book at the moment.
S + be + not + V_ing ....
c / Question:

Ex : Are The students of class AVSC 017 learning English now? Yes, they are .

Is Mary playing badminton ?
Yes, she is
No, she Is not
Be + S + V_ing ... ?
Yes, S + be/
No, S + be not
Answers:
3. Adding ING to verbs often
Most verbs just add –ing
Ex: wear-wearing go-going cook-cooking
If the verb ends in -e ,we drop -e add -ing
Ex : live – living write - writing
ride - riding
If one syllable verbs ending in a consonant before that it`s a vowel , you double the consonant before adding -ing
Ex : get - getting stop - stopping shop – shopping
Remember: Do not use the present continuous with state verb they describe a state, not an action
such as: like, remember, forget, know, need, hate, love…..
Instead of using present countinouns with these verb you must use simple present
Ex: She is loving this chocolate
She loves this chocolate
