Warmer : Read the following adjectives and underline those can make people/ things satisfied
polite ; rude ; cold ; helpful ; spacious ; cramped ; large ; small ; good ; bad ; reasonable ; expensive ; cheap ; arrogant ; punctual ; reliable .
What do you think about these words ?
When do we use them ?
These words are usually used to write a letter to express satisfaction ( or dissatisfaction)
Task 1 : Read the text again ( page 101) and then answer the following questions:
What time does Thanh Ba post office open and close ?
What is Thanh Ba post office equipped with ?
What services are offered at Thanh Ba post office ?
What are the attitudes of the staff ?
-> Thanh Ba post office opens daily at 7 a.m and closes at 9 p.m.
-> It is equipped with advanced technology and a spacious, pretty place for transaction.
-> They are Mail and Parcel Services, EMS, Express Money Transfer , phone calls and Faxes , Messenger call Services, Press Distribution .
-> The staff are always thoughtful and courteous to the customers .
Task 2: (Work with a partner )Discuss the things that may make you satisfied (or dissatisfied ) with the services there .( you have learnt about this post office in Reading section )

Task 3: After a year in the job, the director of Thanh Ba Post office has invited residents in the neighborhood to write letters to him describing the quality of the services they have received . Write such a letter , using the ideas you discussed in Task 2
The letter may have the following points :
Dear Sir,
State the reason for writing (I am writing about the quality of the services your post office offers....)
Say whether you are satisfied or dissatisfied with these services , or both.
List out some evidences to support your idea.
(firstly...secondly...thirdly....finally)
Your suggestion
End the letter politely (sincerely yours, yours faithfully, etc. )
Sample writing :
Dear Sir,
I am writing about the quality of the services of your post office.
I am satisfied with some of your services. However , there is still something that I am dissatisfied with . Firstly, the post office is closed too early. Sometimes I need to make an emergent phone call after 9 and this service is not available . Secondly, the prices for sending oversea mails after far too expensive compared with other post offices in the district. Finally, there is no one to look after the motorbikes of the customers. Therefore, we are always nervous when leaving the motorbikes outside. I would suggest that the post office should open until 10 p. m and that there should be someone to keep an eye on the motorbikes of customers.
