Period 78: LANGUAGE FOCUS 4.

I/ Objectives : Review the past simple tense, Indefinite quantifiers, “Too”
and “Either”, “So” and “Neither”, Imperative.
II/ Language contents : (Page 123 ( 128 / Students’ books).
III/ Techniques and activities : Sharing and comparing, pairwork,
groupwork, ask and answer.
IV/ Teaching aids : Pictures in books.
V/ Time : 45 mins.
VI/ Procedures :
* Warm up : Brainstorming (food and drinks).
- Divide the class into 4 small groups.
- Have the first and the second group write down food.
- Have the third and the fourth groups write down drinks.
- Teacher corrects.
* Activity 1 : Asking and answering (Pairwork).
- Teacher asks for the picture “a”, and calls a student to answer.
- Students work in pairs to ask ans answer for the pictures in the books.
- Teacher corrects the mistakes.
* Activity 2 :
a) Sharing and comparing.
- Students write the correct expression for each picture in the books.
- Students share and compare their papers.
- Teacher gives the correct answers.
b) Pairwork.
- Students work in pairs to practise the dialogues in the books.
- Teacher corrects the mistakes.
* Activity 3 : Pairwork.
- Students look at the pictures in the books and work in pairs to make up similar dialogues.
- Teacher corrects the mistakes.
* Activity 4 : Pairwork.
- Teacher shows the pictures in the exercise 3.
- Teacher has a student says the sentence “I like...” or “I don’t lift...” and the other says the sentence “So do I” or “Neither do I”.
- Students work in pairs to practise.
* Activity 5 : Sharing and comparing.
-Students write the sentences with the correct words.
- Students share and compare their papers.
- Teacher gives the correct answers.
* Homework : - Write the exercises is the notebooks.
- Write three sentences about what you did yesterday
- Prepare for the one – period test.


UNIT 13 : ACTIVITIES
Period 79 : Section A : A1
I/ Objectives : After the lesson, students will able to describe about sport.
II/ Language contents :
1 – Grammar : Adverbs and adjectives.
2 – Vocabulary: Surprising (adj), skateboarding (n), roller skating (n).
roller blaring (n), choice (v), surprisingly (adv)
III/ Techniques and activities : Predict the picture, ask and answer, brainstorming.
IV/ Teaching aids : Pictures, books, cassette player.
V/ Time : 45 mins.
VI/ Procedures :
* Warm up : Brainstorming : write down the fruit names :

Fruit
* Presentation :
- Gives some pictures ( Students guess.
- Teacher introduces the topic.
- Ask students which sports are their favorite ones.
- Students look at the picture and answer.
- Students listen to the cassette twice.
- Explains new words and read them :
+ Surprising (a)
+ Surprisingly (adverb).
* Practice :
- Have some of the students do some actions illustrating.
- Ask others to guess what they are.
- Answer the teacher’s questions.
- Pairwork (ask and answer the questions).
* Production :
- Call some pairs to drill before class (about sport).
* Homework :
- Learn by heart new words.- Read A3 – 5.
