I believe that physical courses should be required for graduation from college for several reasons. Perhaps the most persuade one is the saying “A clear mind is in a healthy body” when we are in good health, we feel eager to work, our power our power of concentration lasts longer. College syllabus is a kind of stress and tension, or to say, for the most part is a cerebral experience. Students have to spend hours in class listening to the lectures, participating in discussions, doing tests. At home, the time to rest is also limited. Since countless additional hours are spent reading, researching and engaging in many academic activities. So, together with the development of mind, doing physical exercises is no less important. It helps reduce stress, providing outlet for tension and anxiety and most of all enhance the power of concentration which is the natural effects of a physical equilibrium. With a clear mind, students can stay indoors hours after hours brainstorming for their study without a least feeling of fatigue and boredom what is his intelligence for if he is often trouble by his health problems and unable to engage in any physical activities.
There are additional benefits of physical activity that I think are just important. In actual fact, physical activity can be of great value, especially to students who works their brains most of the day. Sports make their bodies strong, save them from obesity and keep them healthy. But those are not their only uses. They give us valuable practice in having eyes, brain and muscles work together. In tennis, our eyes see the ball coming, judge its speed and direction and pass this information to the brain. The brain then decides what to do and sends its orders to the muscles of the legs, arm and so on. All this must happen at great speed. This form resolved, nimble reaction in students which is the key factor in any success(359 words)
Furthermore, physical education such as individual sports like swimming, gymnastic teaches students how to work independently to reach an aim; helps reinforce his self-confidence, self-reliance. Team sports like football, basketball…helps develop social skills, when participating in them, we can recognize the true meaning of cooperation which is defined as a situation in which rewards are distributed equally on the basis of mutual interactive behavior among individuals. By this definition we learn that a cooperatives situation requires at least one competitor to fail for each competitor that wins. Thanks to it, we can learn to share, to be self sacrificed,to work together with others for common goal. These are the reasons why I feel physical courses should be part of the graduation requirements of any university or college; they are of high value for a student’s health, character-training and his betterment. , .{468 words)
